IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE narrates love with irony and romanticism, disillusion and passion, including the clichés and loneliness that sometimes accompanies it in an almost surreal atmosphere.
Three short poems by Michele Maturo are the only text that the book needs and provides. In the end, they are the ones that carry the reader through a journey between discouraging truths and enchanting lies.
Earlier this year, Federico Possati traveled to Las Vegas on the weekend of San Valentine with the semi-serious intention of drawing a portrait of love. Somewhere between the artificiality of the city and his getting lost through its streets camera in hand, Possati encounters and collects fragments of a story that he then gradually composed to create this book.
Federico Possati is a New York based photographer and filmmaker. Born in Italy in 1988, he got his BA from Columbia University in 2016 and has published his first photographic book "In The Mood For Love" the same year. The book has been presented at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York and at the Supercapannone in Bologna.
